A friend is having my laptop. What is the quickest, cleanest way to remove all my personal files etc, including: Messenger ids, music files, internet history, cookies, documents.....

Your help is appreciated!

I really like the little program CleanUp. I just ran it today actually. It will get rid of a lot, but you may have to manually remove music files and ids

If you don't mind eliminating all of the software you have installed, you laptop probably came with a restore disk. Use it and it will bring lappy back to factory fresh.

It's a little-known fact that putting your laptop in a warm oven full of soapy water for a few hours will clean it up.

Formatting does not remove the data, it can still be recovered; you need Absolute File Shredder; and its free!

you should reload it never get rid of any computer without doing a complete format and reload
