Christmas song title for fairly recent song ?

I'm looking for the name and artist of a Christmas song,
Merry Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The melody is set to the tume of "Stewball Was a
Racehorse." (an old song from years ago.)
The song is slow and has a rather mournful sound.

I know what song you are talking about and I think the title is "So this is Christmas" but I don't know who sings it, sorry.

I know the Carpenters sang a version of it.
