If I figured this correctly it should take 870 bricks.

To get this I figured out how tall and wide the wall was in inches.
10' tall = 120" tall
14-1/2' wide = 174" wide

I then divided the height of the wall by the height of the brick
120/3 = 40

I did the same for the length of the wall.
174/8 = 21.75

So the wall should be 40 bricks high and 21.75 bricks wide so I multiplied the 2 numbers.

40x21.75 = 870 bricks

Convert feet to inches

14.5 x 12 = 174 Inches

10 x 12 = 120 inches

174 x 120 = 20880 Square inches

Each brick is 8 inches wide and 3 inches tall

8 = 3 = 24 square inches

Divide 20880 by 24 to obtain the number of bricks needed.

20880 / 24 = 870

The answer is 870 bricks is needed to build a wall.

width:

12*14=168 +6=174"

174/8 = 21.75 (round to 22 bricks for width)

Height:
10*12 =120"

120/3 = 40 bricks high

Total Bricks:
22*40 = 880

Taking the brick size as8"[wide]*3"[high].
10feet=120inches=40 bricks on height
14.5feet=174inches=21.75 bricks on width
Total number of bricks=40*21.75=870
[we assume the height and width of bricks includes mortar]

Here is how you figure brick jobs. Multiply width times height in this case 14.5 x 10= 145 this multiplied by 7.5 which represents one brick 145 x 7.5= 1087.5 bricks and in the field we add 5% of that for waste so 1087.5 x .05 = 54.375 or 55 brick plus 1087.5 so your job requires around 1100 brick.
