i have heard that if your baby is facing upwards when u go into labour like looking towards the roof that u have to have a c section is this true?

Nope but you can have some bad back labor. My son was born that way, vaginally. Hurt like heck. They most certainly can come out that way without having a c-section. They used forceps to help get my son out though. 36 hours of labor :-(

Only of the labour isn't progressing or the doctor is lazy.

No it isn't. One of my daughters was facing up and I had her naturally. As long as the baby isn't too big or breach you can have it vaginally.

Not necessarily. Caesarians (cos that's what we call them here) should be avoided at all costs as it is major surgery.
