i change it before , i dont like the idea of them enjoying thier food whilst in a dirty /wet diaper.
but saying that whilst they are eating they are more likely to soil themselves so...
there is no rules just do what u think is best .

Diaper changing would be the first thing I would do when my baby woke up for a feeding. I would get the baby out of the bassinet and change the diaper and then feed. Most of the time after I would feed my baby I would hear this squirt noise and knew it was diaper changing time so, I would stop the feeding and change again. I couldn't stand the idea of my baby's little bottom sitting in that mess. Mostly it is just the preference of the parent doing the changing.

When my son was a newborn, I would change first, strip him right down to his clean diaper to wake him up, then dress him back up between breasts to wake him again. Although as someone else mentioned, they like to do their dirty work when they are feeding, or just after a feed, so would usually end up changing him twice. But I'd rather have him with a clean diaper, then with diaper rash. Also at that young an age, it's best to have him be laying down before I feed to avoid extra spit up.
Now that my son is almost 10 months, he's changed when he wakes from sleep and before I lay him down, of course if he soils himself in the meantime. No diaper rash problems here.

Its always best to change diapers about 30 minutes after feeding, if you do it before feeding baby is sure to fill it again after a feed.

I used to do it before, however he found it necessary to soil his diaper during feedings right after I put on a new diaper. So now we change him after he eats..It saves me at least 3 diapers a day!

They tell you to change before and after, but I have had 5 kids and I know that is unnecessary as well as wasteful. I change my sons diaper when it needs it, not at any set time.

With newborns, the traditional diaper replace is 10 diapers an afternoon. if your baby is struggling with diaper rash, you may could desire to alter extra many times so as that his/her little bum does not get annoyed via pee or poo diaper. so a techniques as breastfeeding is going, my terrific advice is to feed on call for. Your infant will then ease into some variety of time table in a month or so (or quicker). WIth my first, (he's now 2 one million/2 years previous), i replace into breastfeeding each one million one million/2 hour for 2-3 weeks. after which he settled into 2 hours after a month. whilst he replace into 5 months previous, i replace into he replace into feeding each 5 hours during the day, and each 3-4 hours in the midst of the night. He did now stay wide awake during the night till he replace into three hundred and sixty 5 days previous. I definitely have 4 month previous twins now and that i'm breastfeeding each 3-4 hours. yet they began to sleep 8 hours at night, so during the day, i pass forward and breastfeed each 3 hours on account that they do no longer look to be getting any at night. besides, my terrific advice is to feed on call for. :-)

If your baby is wet or solied..you change her as needed...it would make sense to check her diaper shortly after she ate to see if she was wet again tho.
A good rule of thumb is to check her diaper every 2 hours to see if she needs a changing. They have small systemsn and will need more changings than you would expect.

I check the diaper a little before it is time to eat to make sure that they don't need to be changed so they are comfortable while eating.

Usually about 30 minutes after feedings. Both my sons were fairly consistent about going shortly after eating, especially my first, who was mostly formula fed. My second is breastfed and doesn't poo as often, but when he does it's generally within 30 minutes to an hour of feeding.
