To defragment, follow these steps:
1. Go to "Start".
2. Hover All Programs > Accessories > System Tools.
3. Click Disk Defragmenter.
4. Select the drive (one-click only).
5. Click the "Analyze" button below.
6. If the dialog says you should defragment, then go ahead, otherwise just click cancel.
All these steps only apply for Windows XP computers.

WIndwos XP:
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmenter, click on the drive you want to defraqgment (most probably c) and click the "Defragment" button.

Do a start, programs, accessories and then go to system tools and defrag or do the maintenance now thing.

It is usually under accessories, system tools, disk defragmenter. Open the program and run it. Make sure that all of your other programs are closed first.
