Good question!!
Love is just one aspect of life...... life is so full of varieties and possibilities that none of us is able to live fully before death catches up..... that is why we live and want to live more and more!
And then it becomes a habit!!
And thereafter an addiction!!!

No, we live hoping for the happiness, more happiness brought in the future. A suicidal takes his life because he believes there is no hope for him to be happier in the futur. Love is one of the things that make us happy, extremely happy , because it reminds us of our childhood, the hug of "mommy, daddy" if any or at least the hug and love of someone that loved us and the sense of security that comes with it.. This is a broad subject, but very important question. I've felt the answer ever since I was a kid, and I found the same answer in my philosophy book! People are so alike after all!
