I'm not a doctor but I read a lot so here my awnser. Viagra works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the penis. the smooth muscle contains veins and large arteries. the chemical in Viagra helps the body produce nitric oxide to relax your veins and arteries. The penis is like a balloon very small when limp but erect when blown up. If the penis is relaxed it can be blown up to its full potential just like a very small balloon.
