Went to a BBQ and the husband left his beer on the grass and when he picked it up there were two snails crawling up. UGH!

It's not the beer that kills snails...Some gardners will advise folks to "bury" small cans around plants to distract snails away from eating the green foliage. Apparently snails are attracted to the beer, and will crawl into the can and then drown.

the finest thanks to inform if a snail is useless is to smell it. i comprehend that that sounds extraordinary, yet, believe me, you'll be able to inform. A stay snail will purely scent fishy and prefer tank water. A useless snail...ew. also, many snails have a touch door that they close even as they bypass interior, which includes secret snails. If the door is open or putting, or you could pull it open with a finger and the snail doesn't close it decrease back up, then it really is useless. A useless snail might want to fall limp out of its shell once you %. it up, even though it gained't move slowly out because it really is demise. ~

Depends on if you put out a brand of beer that they like...not being a beer fan myself, I would imagine that not all snails are either.

Yes, but the saucer must be deep enough they cannot climb out. This works for slugs too.

Have you heard the expression "dead drunk"?
It'll work but it's not very effective. Very few snails are drinkers. And those that do imbibe, tend to prfer congnac.
