I urinate several times a day and it has no connection with my erections.

10 points for telling me the physical cause for it and why we have evolved for this to happen. I think its to remind us of our purpose for the day but my girlfriend doesn't agree! I need a solid answer! (boom boom pish!)

Nocturnal penile tumescence or slang Morning wood is an erection that occurs spontaneously in the absence of any specific sexual stimulation, particularly in adolescent males. All men who are physically able to achieve an erection do so during sleep, typically several times in a night. It typically happens during REM sleep and it is not uncommon for the erection to be present when he wakes up. This is utilized by sexual health practitioners to ascertain whether cases of erectile dysfunction are psychological or physiological in nature. Patients presenting with impotence are fitted with an elastic device worn around the penis which detects changes in girth and relays the information to a computer for later analysis. Men who obtain spontaneous erections in their sleep but not during waking hours are therefore considered to suffer from some form of psychosomatic condition, i.e. sexual anxiety disorder, which prevents them performing sexually.

The toesterone hormone is produces highly during sleeping time (close to the morning) that's why you get-up with the morning hard-on...

People are saying it's because of the pee because the erection softens after urinating... But this cannot be considered as the reason of the erection because the bladder can be full during the day without getting the erection...

So, it's all about the hormones...

Early in the morning - all men have their highest levels of testosterone secretion in the bloodstream. this will make a nice erection. the male body has an internal biological clock which regulates testosterone secretion on a set schedule planned by God.

also - during the night - God designed men to have several erections - so the blood flow fills the penis and keep its healthy and saturates the chambers which hold blood for erections. If this didn't happen - the flexible soft tissues of the penis will turn to scar tissue which cannot expand for erections so much. So whether you know it or not, young, healthy guys have several erections during the night as they sleep which last for quite some time. the erection you see when you open your eyes is merely the final hard-on of them all. these erections are NOT from sexy dreams at all. they are programmed into a man's body chemistry by God to keep his dick healthy and stimulate the chambers to remain elastic and flexible.

by the way - if you wake up with a nice stiff penis - just lean over and jump on your wife - is the perfect way to use that erection. I strongly recommend you start the day right with a quick shag.

thanks for a good rating.

Eating lots of leafy greens, whole grains, oysters, watermelon, and blueberries (most any fruit will work, really) will help you give your body all that it needs to improve the quality of your erections, while cutting out processed foods, cigarettes and alcohol will provide further benefits. It definitly has something to do with the sleep phases, but also to do with friction on the penis from clothing, the bed sheets etc. BUT more importantly, our hormones are at their peak 1st thing in the morning, so therefore we are at our sexual peak at that time. The hormone level decreases gradually during the day after that. Hope that explains things a bit better :-)

Why doesn't your Penis get hard anymore? I know how you feel. Could be a lot of reasons why you're incapable of getting an erection. This will help you get your feeling/erections back. https://bitly.im/aMANE Works like a charm. Good luck.

it mostly happens when there is something rubbing against your penis during sleep... so if you sleep on your gut, then most of the time you will get erections in the morning, of course, the bladder is a small factor in this, but it is mostly because you are unconsciously rubbin that morning glory before you wake up.

My hubby says it's because he has to pee.

I know that he has to pee during the day and he doesn't get an erection then, but after all night of 'holding it', his full bladder must help to stimulate an erection. I know that after he goes to the bathroom, his penis is flaccid again.

just a natural part of the hormonal variation through out the day. has nothing to do with having to pee... men pee a lot during the day and don't get erect.

funny that my answer is the correct one yet i got a thumbs down (for the 100th time). It has NOTHING to do with urination!
