I call it "Out of Time" ~ when I go to a place where just being there is inspirational and relaxing, and I learn a lot about myself in that place. The last time I experienced that was probably in the car on my road trip to Atlanta last month; road trips are one of my favorite things, I was born for the road :)

I cannot admit online, even with this slight veil of anonymity, what the last almost perfect and far too short lived retreat for me was, but I will say it would be, in the future, a nice quiet place in the woods or elsewhere without much distraction. A place where work won't bother me, life won't bother me, and I can just write or do whatever to my heart's content.

I sometimes get moments of complete happiness and peace that hit me suddenly and unexpectedly. It can happen anywhere, at any time. I get the feeling that everything will be alright. My entire body fills up with what feels like warm and pure love. I got this feeling when my family became homeless, and we ended up having shelter in the end. When I get these feelings I know who they are from. They are from God.
These are perfect retreats, as they are from God, and He is perfect. =)

A perfect retreat for me would be a house by the sea or a mountain greenery. I live in a mountain greenery, but it has been ages since I have been in a house by the sea.

Hells bells you mean we are not at the retreat??
I would like to have a cabin and a lot of firewood, snowing outside and cooking a big pot of Mexican spaghetti for me and someone else to have later. Oh, and the cheese and garlic bread too.
