If someone takes the morning after pill 9 hours after sex, and is expecting their period to come the same week, could it be slightly delayed because of the effects?

The morning pill has now become ONE PILL. it is not like how it used to be i.e. it being 2 pills.

Actually, there is more than one "morning after" contraception than Plan B, regardless of the number of pills involved. The earlier after unprotected intercourse it is taken, the greater effectiveness, and within 72 hours is recommended, although it may be effective according to some studies for up to a week.
It may make your period a little earlier or later. If you go more than a couple of weeks past your "due date" you should consider the possibility of pregnancy and see a doctor and/or take a test.

you actually take the second pill 12 hours after the first..not 24 hours after...and it is more likely that you will start your period sooner rather than later but everyone is different...i've used the pill twice and i was right on time each time so don't worry too much at first...wait about 3 weeks and do a home test.

yes it could delay it or make it come sooner but the first signs that it did work is when the girl as a spot bleed like two to three days after taking the pill

The morning after pill, called PlanB, is a higher than usual dose of birth control.
If you are to start your period soon after taking it, you may notice it's a little late, or even a little early (but shouldn't be by much) and your period may be a little on the light side because of it.
For more information on PlanB you can go to http://www.go2planb.com/ForConsumers/Index.aspx or call your nearest pharmacist. If your pharmacy isn't open when you need info, you can call 800-325-3737 and talk to a registered nurse or pharmacist on the phone.
Good luck!

is this the Plan B drug? well if I'm not mistaken you have to take the next pill 24 hours after the first pill.... I'm not a doctor or anything... but check with a doctor to be safe.

Your right it is only one pill.
Because of the being a high dose of a birth control pill it will cause your period to start early, it's going to cause your uterus to flush it's self out.
Hope this helps.
