Is this a float bowl type carb? If so i would check the bowl setting.
Is it a bolt on , or does it push ointo a rubber mount? Check for loose fit or air leak. Vaccumn loss. Just a note.( even on a two stroke) I use spark plug reading to decide jet sizes. I.E. Too Black is to fat! Too gray is too lean. Have a fun day.

Small 2 stroke motoX bikes have a very narrow power spread, so when your lad slows for the bend, the revs fall below the optimum power band and the engine appears to bog down. Years ago I had a YZ125LC and I had to either gear down before the corner, or slip the clutch coming out of it, to keep it in its power band.
There is probably nothing wrong except your lad's riding technique, a quick lesson with an experienced rider should sort it.

when the bike is ridden correctly engine should sound like "wiinng wiinng", not "buuuuuurrghweeeeeeeeeeiiinng" as the bogged down motor eventually comes into the power band.

I can't see where a jet change would affect power loss when cornering.
I would tend to think it's more a float height adjustment in the carb. Either set too low (starving for gas), or too high (flooding).

ur float height is too low its cuttin the petrol off when ur on an angle on the bend, you still have to keep it in the power band tho. but jets wont solve that otherwise it would do it on the straight aswell

Sounds more like riding technique than anything else.
