The way the U.S. has been propagandized to view this war is unbelievable.

Every life has value. I lost 8 fellow Marines in the first war over there so I believe I have a pretty good understanding that they are someones son/daughter/wife/husband/friend. However, death is an unfortunate part of any war. Those that have given their lives volunteered for the military and accepted the risk as I did when I enlisted. 3000 is a small number considering. That number also includes those that were in Humvee accidents and various other tragedies not directly combat related.

I think 2973 people died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11. And according to "Iraqi Coalition Casuality Count", 2891 US soldiers have been killed, 3138 Coalition soldiers have been killed.

And the Iraq war is currently defended as being neccessary to protect us from another terrorist attack.

Technically it might not be a "Slaughter." But calling those deaths a Slaughter isn't outrageous propaganda.

There is totally no reason for any war in this world right now. The army is just Bush's tool for takeover. There are many good videos on 911. One of the best is Loose Change. www.loosechange911.com This man is just a patriot that knows 911 was a demolition job and I was a skeptical right wing conservative myself. However common sense and scientific know how steers me to the 911 Truth movement. These people are just struggling the best they can to tell everyone. I admire them all. I think of those poor people stuck in the buildings and the Bush Administration sitting on their Billionaire asses waiting for it to happen. It makes my blood boil and it should make yours boil too. They will not talk of these issues on CNN or Fox News or CBS or whatever. Those networks are all controlled by insiders. Those journalists are not free to report what they want without approval. USA is not about free speech they just make it appear that way. If one journalist did an in depth program on the real questions of 911 they would be fired. The internet is the only form of free speech left. However even the internet is becoming more and more controlled but once the truth spreads they can no longer ignore it anymore. We are starting to get to that point but there is a lot more left to be done. Spread the truth people. Take back your country!

I agree that it's not the same kind of numbers like in Vietnam. One of those 2850 soldiers was by best friend from high school and it doesn't make his mom feel any better comparing numbers to other wars.

The ratio of dead/injured iraqis to americans is ridiculously high so you're right. But I think the military hasn't been completely honest about all the US causalties. For a start the figure is too low, and you also don't take into consideration injured soldiers who have been permanently affected ie have had limbs amputated.

It sounds like a lot of dead people to me and for what? The Bush Family Dynasty to steal oil?

And how about the Afghans and Iraqis who have died? Do their deaths mean anything to you?

Imagine if it had been as bad as the invasion of Okinawa. And that was just one bloody battle of a very bloody war.
