I know everyone always says Elvis the king but you have to consider Elton Johns long history and variaty as well as working with great artist like John Lennon.
Elton is still going strong but Elvis also produced a good set timless of singles in his time.

Elvis really rocks and always loved the ladies too! I mean Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog etc and man what an entertainer. Elton done some great songs but became a little too well pompous for my liking.

It is well Documented that Elvis did not write any of his music but he still an all round singer from Rock, to Gospel, Blues, country, folk, Ballads. I do like Elton but only his seventies stuff all the rest not that good. Elvis is the greatest solo singer of all time.

As far as I know, Elvis was never an obnoxious goon like Elton John is - if Elton would keep his opinions a bit quieter, then he could be considered even greater.

Elvis, he paved the road for others to follow. Just close your eyes and listen to the voice of Elvis singing blues or gospel. He could sing from the heart. Beautiful voice...
