I am surprised by your asking "IN YOUR REGION" because it does make a slight difference...
Here, the average height is around 5'7"

hum, i am living in Vietnam and i think the average height for boys here is about 1,67 meters.

where i live the avg height is like 5'6 making me taller than pretty much half the male population.
