Well, my husband of 25 years won't share what he got me for Christmas! I'd be glad to share what I got for him, if he'd do the same but everytime I ask him he says he got me some bricks! and I know Wal Mart doesn't sell bricks! Besides, he says the same things every year.

I just think that after 25 years he should be honest with me, don't you?
Sigh!! What to do??? LOL!

Aww! First of all, that's precious that you are so impatient about finding out what your present is. Perhaps that your husband gets a kick out of how impatient you get regarding surprises. I would bet that's the reason he keeps it from you. I am with you though, I'd rather know what I am getting instead of being surprised. Even as a child, I would take my kitty's claws and drag them across the wrapping paper, claiming to my parents that the cat opened my presents. But as people have said, the best thing about Christmas is the surprise. Since it's such a timeless holiday, whether you're 9 or 90, been together 1 year or 100, surprises are the best way of celebrating the season. :)

I don't think you should share everything after 25 years of marriage. Granted, marriage is the union of two people, but traditional marriage is still between men and women, who come from different worlds. If you and your husband know each other well, there are nothing wrong with little secrets you kept from each other. After all, both of you are still individuals, and little mysteries keep all of us interested.

EVEN AFTER 25 YEARS OF MARRIAGE, YOU ARE YET TO UNDERSTAND HIM AND COMLAINING????? LOL.

Teasing is to show Love. When a guy has heart & time to buy something for his wife, let him also have the pleasure of the Surprise that he has for you..... I think you are the best kind of couple on the earth. Wishes.

I got 35 years behind me and it is kind of nice to have some privacy as a person and not share everything. Gives you a tiny bit of independancy. We need that.

presents are definitly outside the honesty bubble. I am on the other side of that problem with my fiance. she says she hates suprises. I admire you're husbands since of humor. it's not that he's lying to you. Surises are completly different that lying.
