Whilst recently decorating, I was painting my ceiling with my new JML easy roller (available at all good outlets). And what an amazing job it did. However it wasn't till later that evening one of my wives noticed a large drip of green emulsion paint on my turban. I have tried washing it, I have tried meths, thinners, turpentine. I am at my wits end. It is one of my favourite turbans. Please help!!

Someone could have a favorite turban? That's now to me. They all look the same to me. But then again a guess i understand. I have my favorite underwear too.

Put it in a bucket of very strong bleach and water 50:50 agitate frequently until the paint has gone.
In theory emulsion paint should have washed out in a hot wash.

Failing it that, dye it green to blend the paint in.

Thank you, sorry for your misfortune, but thank you; that was the best laugh have had all week!

I think if it has dried in, you have had it. You would have been better off soaking it as soon as you noticed.

When I am decorating, I use old clothes, I would suggest that next time you decorate, you wear an old turban, or wear something over it.

Another way maybe to take a more managerial role in your decorating and over-see your wives whilst they do it.

Funny that - I got paint on my cross whilst using the same type of roller. Has not come off - i suppose by easter the paint will just get up & walk away on it's own accord.

I'm afraid it's too late. Once that stuff drys on fabric, it's permanant, what you should do next time is throw the article in a bucket of cold water and try to get the stain out with cold running water... or take it to the dry cleaners immediately (while it's still soaked cold)
