Seriously, our baby can only still crawl so it shouldn't be hard for her to keep up with him.

Oh you're a sweetheart aren't you?

Break your leg and see how easy you find doing chores is.

I would imagine however that like a lot of mothers, once she's able to get around fine with a crutch she will actually struggle on and do all the necessary chores that her able bodied husband cannot for the life of him do for the few months she needs to recover.

I'm a guy and if I were in your shoes I do one of several things. Firstly get a housekeeper in if I'm a busy working guy, and do the extra hours needed to pay for her-it's only for about 8-12 weeks. Secondly I'd do what I can for her myself-you know that thing called love you have when you marry? Well it is in sickness and health. For you I also suggest grow a heart and conscience. Note I'm judging how you are solely on the quality and content of this one question. I hope you are better than this for your wife's sake and yours.

Well do you know that even without a broken leg, that a crawling baby is more than enough to try & keep up with.. Why can't you be a little considerate & show your wife a little compassion & try & help her with a few little things..thats part of marriage, having someone to lean on if you need to..Maybe try being a little supportive, instead of b*tching..It might just make your marriage work out in the long run..

you should read again and again all the answers that you got, and maybe your brain will make a click and you can finally realize how stupid you were to bring this question here and that because you couldn't figure it out by yourself? You take your wife for granted and obviously you don't love her or respect her, is it maybe you have an affair and don't have time to take care of your family that now is a burden? Your poor wife gave birth to your child obviously not to far ago, and now she broke her leg..? I wouldn't wonder if you made her do "chores" in the house next day she got out of hospital bed! You make on earth a shadow that is not need it..go hide somewhere you hideous thing!!..and let your poor wife and her child to enjoy their only life...

the way you talk you never broke an arm or a leg. You can not believe how painful it can be, depending on the type of accident you might have had. Come on, give her a hand. This won't last forever. Maybe she wants attention, she feel fragile. You give us little information. The bottom line is: this is the time that you have to reassure her your love. If she can not do or does not want to do, so what? Show affection and little by little things will be back to normal. When I broke my arm it took me 6 months for me to be able to do things normally again. It was a major fall, and my life was completely upside down. Good luck.

Believe it or not your wife was not put on this earth not to serve you!! She also didn't say "I Do" to being treated like a slave. Remeber the whole 'in sickness and in health' thing.....yeah well now it's your turn to hold up your end of the bargain. Pull your head in and count yourself lucky that you have a wife & a child that loves you. A few dishes and a couple loads of washing has never killed a man.....so why don't you give it a go & cut your wife some slack.

When I heard your story I thought about women in the the Victorian Ages. During that time period women would get ill, hysterical, etc. just to get out of doing housework. Make sure that you don't say chores, because that's something that a maid would do.

Dear Sir, you need to start loving, respecting and caring for your wife. She can't do much in crutches, my son was useless. Anything that requires picking things up, is out of the question. The washing, the dishes etc. You need to treat her as you would like to be treated yourself. Becareful, love is earned, not demanded.
