Radiation is naturally present in the environment -- in the air, water, food, soil, and in all living organisms. Most of the radiation absorbed by humans comes from natural environmental sources.

There are two basic types of radiation: ionizing radiation (X-rays, infrared light, gamma rays) and non-nuclear emissions (ultraviolet light, microwave radiation, cell phone waves). It is usually only ionizing radiation that concerns health officials.

A Geiger counter usually is used to detect radiation even in humans.

Thx 2 the efforts at NASA we all have a lil more radioactivity then we did 100 years ago. If they shoot something up into the sky and it explodes carrying radio active stuff it gets spread onto everyone below and this has happened a couple times before I believe. But I dont think that is what you ment by asking are we radioactive I think you might have been trying to figure out what exactly is radioactivity and how its a part of everything atoms. Do some reasearch and youll find some very interesting things about how our universe works and how it might turn out. I suggest you try getting some physic books from your local library and digging into some good times :)

There is a certain level of radioactivity that exists naturally. Carbon 14 an isotope of carbon is radioactive. Therefore is logical to say the answer is YES. However this natural radioactivity is not dangerous and we are not concerned with it. We are more interested in high levels like that emited by uranium isotopes.

Yes, some more than others. The ones with big time radiation poisoning post stupid questions on Yahoo! Answers and will die if more than 5 radioactive people answer their questions. You're doomed!!!!!

There are very small amounts of polonium-210 in the soil and in the atmosphere, and everyone has a small amount of it in their body. So in a small way yes we are.
