My laptop is 4 years old and I have always used a watered down window cleaner. I spray the solution on a soft cloth and then clean the screen. Works well without damaging the screen.

do not use any kind of cleaners instead u need to get a special kind that is used for the LCD screens

theres a product call screen guardian made by kensington
it has water 2-butoxyethanol and ethanol in it

if I'm out of screen wipes i always use the cloth provided to wipe spectacles.

i use a baby wipe or a slightly damp cloth. nothing too fluffy and no polish or you will ruin your screen
