im an expert at this. i got a stiff neck many times before. if you don't fix it quick, it will screw you up bad.
there are two ways to fix it:
use a hot bag or apply some sort of heat on the area.
or
get Myoflex non-scented cream, it really does help. Just rub it in and you'll begin to feel better. Myoflex always works well when u put it on, then apply some heat and just chill out, and relax your neck.
also, the doctor told me that you are NEVER EVER supposed to leave your neck all crooked up in one place. If you do, it will worsen. the best treatment is to move your neck around every once in a while to stop it from locking up.
hope that helped.

check the mattress & pillows you are using , these may contribute to your stiff neck- apply warm compress over the affected area & if the pain is still there take a pain reliever. hope this will help !

Soak a small towel in warm to hot water. Then put it on the back of your neck, slowly look up, look down, look left, and look right to stretch out the muscles.

Take a warm shower and the last one will be an icy rinse. I have tried this procedure and it really worked.
