Give your wife some rest. She already has a lot of responsiblity whether she works or not. Let her just enjoy her day without having to worry about that roast.

Aw come on, you already know the answer to that!

Anyway, once you've done the veg and got your roast in the oven and its all cooking nicely you can come back on here, so you make your wife happy AND get what you want as well...!!

Depends on your cooking standards. I left my husband to cook the Sunday dinner once and the smells were enough to know that it was a bad idea from the start.

But if you can cook it might be nice!

I have 72 hours work under my belt this week but the leg of lamb is in the oven and ive just finished the veg

Lock her in the kitchen and then go down the pub. By the time you get back, Answers will still be running and your roast will be cooked!
