I am nearly 42 weeks pregnant (!!) and I was told on my 20week scan about "3 lines" and the scanner lady said it was 99.9% a girl. I am hoping she is a girl..... otherwise he will be wearing A LOT of pink for the 1st 3 months hee hee.

usually 3 lines means it's a girl. we defintiely saw 3 lines with our little girl. If you're worried, just be cautions about buying too much girl stuff. you obviously have boy clothes, so if they dr. is wrong again, you'll have backup stuff. Keep the receipts and exchange things if you have to. I always thought that if a Dr. couldn't tell definitely if it was a boy or girl, they wouldn't say anything.

I sure hope your Dr. is right and you'll end up with one of each!

Sometimes little girl predictions turn out to be late blooming little boys.
Usually at 19 weeks if you can tell its a boy it'll most likely stay a boy. But sometimes they say its a little girl when its really a boy because his testicles haven't dropped yet.

usually it ould mean its a girl yes, but just to be safe, by things in white n cream ect.
i was told at 20 weeks i was having a girl and i saw the lines for myself. my gut was telling me it was a boy so i was a bit surprised.
but it turns out at 35 weeks it IS a boy.
so please dont get your hopes up for one or the other.
i decided to by all white stuff just incase.

goodluck and congrads

no.....it means that he could see three lines...when you have the scan sometimes they cannot tell the sex and they have been wrong before....so unless they say it's definately a girl or it's definately a boy, it could be either....but unless you are having twins, it will be one or the other....good luck
