i guess long distance driver are best paid, im just looking into it as i am thinking of changing my career

It really depends on what you are transporting and if you are going to drive on the continent or just uk. You get decent money if you put in the hours but if you are looking for regular hours don't do it. You also have to think about whether you mind being away from home a lot and having your truck as your home most of the week.

you dont relli want to be a lorry driver. they get bored very easily and get 'points' or money reducted (only a small amount) when you stop for a break or a sleep, depending on how long you stop for! my m8s dad is a lorry drvier and he tried so hard not to go for a rest so that he didnt have to get any money reducted so he could treat his family, and he ended up falling asleep at the wheel and had a serious crash. also there are many many more disadvantage to lorry driving. i think the only advantage would be that you can see different places!!

anyway, its up to you. you want to be a lorry driver - you go 4 it and have an ace time!! just make sure you know what your doin!!

they do not earn as good money as they did some years ago.But like all other jobs it pays to look around. If you are prepared to do long distance work then the money is better

I don't really know but i used to live in Australia and i earned about 10,000 a month. But i work for a fashion company so i don't really know...

I think it goes on what your transporting aswell the higher the amount of danger eg fuels the higher the wages
