Yeah that's too bad. But don't worry too much. It probably has to do with nutrient deficiency. But another reason could be stress. Have you felt stressed lately, other than fom the hair loss? If you are, confront those problems and try to finish problems. Find comfort in close friends or your family. By dealing with problems and finding support from people that are close with you can relieve stress and possibly help your hair.
Another could be genetics. Ask your mother if she had hair loss when she was about your age or if she has it now. This could possibly explain things, and if it turns out fine, then you'll know you don't have to worry
But try changing your diet though. The doctor did recommend it. It may cure the problem, and if not, give you a balanced nutrition that you should have. Eat protein and mineral rich vegetables such as beans, peas, lentils etc. They help with hair production and will replenish the protein your missing from your diet.

the vitamins will help, it will take a few months for the hair to start growing back in,,,,,, i would check out some sites for vegetarian diets, to make sure you are getting a balance of everything you need, especially protien,,a vegetarian diet can be just as healthy as a meat diet, if not more so, but you do have to pay more attention to balance it,,,,,,,,,put vegetarian diet into any search engine, then look for balanced ones , since you have been to the dr, i would imagine that he did blood test to rule out anything else,,,, certain meds , low thyroid and other things can also cause hair loss,,,,,

I never heard of rest mode. But I do believe that the medicine you take and the foods you eat or lack of can affect anything in your body. Try Shaklee.com (or .net) they have something for hair regrowth. Good luck. It's hard for girls to have this problem, hair is everything to them. I'm sure you know how to fashon your headbands or pony tails until this is better. I hope you get a second opinion.
