To jump start the car, batteries should be connected in the form of a parallel connection. It means positive to positive, negative to negative. One cable connected to positive post to another positive post. One cable connected to negative post to another negative post.
Car batteries should be replaced every 4-5 years to ensure trouble free operation. After you jump start the car, buy a new car battery and replace it.

jump start it.. put connect the red wire to the red terminal and the black wire to the black terminal..
you may need to get a new battery, also, if you are having problems with the battery you may want to make sure the alternator is charging the battery properly.

better off getting a new battery if the old one is dying that quickly, cos it will only get worse in the short term and soon it willbe dead completely
