in 15 years maya will be twice as old as david is now, in 15 years will be as old as maya will be 10 years from now. how old are they?
if you could expain your answer that would be appriciated

in 15 years maya shall be m+ 15
m+15 = 2d as 2times daivid

question is not complete I assume david will be twice
in 15 years david shall ne d+15 same is maya in 10 m+10

d+15 = (m+10) ...1
m+15 = 2d ...2

we have to solve

from 2
m= 2d - 15
put in 1
d+15 = 2d-15+10) = 2d-5

d=20

do david is 20 years

m = 2d-15 or 25

Maya is 25 david is 20

so x+15 = 2y
and y + 15 = x + 10

so x = 2 y -15
and x = y + 5

so y +10 + 15 =2y = y = 20
x = 40-15 = 25

x = 2y - 15
Substitute in Eq 2

15 - y = -5
-y = -5-15

y = 20
David is now 20 years old.
