Jack gives in to his darkner nature as one of the hunters...he manipulates the other kids and resorts to living like a "savage" with a painted face etc. But the truly sadistic and evil one is Roger who torment the little kids and kills Piggy. Piggy and Ralph are the main victims, but all the little ones are too. And of course Simon, who dies at their hands when all the kids temporarily submit to their more primitive natures.

Ralph was chosen as leader because he had that shell thing. Jack was made in charge of his small group of kids. No one took Piggy seriously though he said much sensible things, finally he was the victim as everyone said. No one really cared about leaving the island in the begining- well they were children..

Piggy was the victim... the one with the specs... (that is if my memory serves me right)...

Anyway, it really needs "reading" as the first answere put it... kinda complicated book

I remember 'Piggy' was the victim with the rest ganging up on him. It was made into a movie too.

I know the story, but their names escape my memory, since I really didn't like the book, it was required reading.
