Is the ipod speakers dock useful when i already have full surrounded speakers system??

Not really, but you can get one that comes
with a surround sound system. I do believe
Yamaha offers one with their receiver as an option.

probably not, not worth the money, just get a plug so you can use it on your present speaker system. i just plug mine into a bass amp, better than little dock speakers =)
