My spouse says if he eats peanut butter before he goes to sleep, or anything spicy like hot peppers, he gets vivid dreams. He is also yelling from the kitchen that the blood of virgins will do it too, but just ignore him.
He says he looked it up about the peanut butter and he read that when your body is busy digesting something with a lot of protein, your brain tends to have a heyday in your sleep. Cheese is also high in protein, so perhaps it's not a myth.

I have also heard about cheese being a food that makes you dream but i wonder if the stronger the cheese the more vivid the dream.

absalutely cheese. this is a well known fact plus my grandfather used to be a doctor so i know what im talking about. also there is an artis that drws disturbing images of his dreams he allways eats cheese befor going to bed. but this allmst all of the time causes nightmares. glad i could help
