Well; there are a few factors to this that you should consider:

- Are you doing this for you or some one else? If it's for someone else and you're asking this question it probably means you feel uncomfortable about the idea; don't do it if you're not happy with the idea.

- Are you just curious? If so, try a trim first as that is easier to recover from and then you get an idea of how it will look.

Personally, I'd advocate that ever man try it at least once ; I actually do this on a regular basis now for a couple of reasons:

Firstly it just looks good, or at least I and the women I sleep with seem to think so. It gives the impression of size, which is always a good thing.

Secondly it makes the whole experience of a BJ a little bit better for the lady; it's just common curtisy. After all, who wants a nose full of hair when your mouths full of cock? That right, nobody.

Finally, it has a certain 'sexual' feeling to it; you no longer have that border between your crotch and your clothes, as well as the air when you use the bathroom. It also makes you 'slightly' more sensitive and I do mean 'slightly' but it's sometimes enougth to turn a 'cold hump' into a 'half-way decent ****'

As a side note; I'm also an advocate of women shaving as it makes a man more likely to go down and in some cases; makes his job easier.

NOTE: If you start shaving down there, it becomes difficult to stop. If you do, the hair comes through thicker and stronger and when it starts to curl back in due to clothes then it can sting. Might I suggest that rather than shaving you use a 'sensitive' hair remover; yes, it is a women's product but I've found that it works a damn site better than shaving, has no risk of a 'slip-cut' and finally, the hahir DOESN'T grow back through thicker.

It's okay - not illegal or anything - but it's not a good idea from the health/hygiene standpoint. The hair has a protective function. It also allows air circulation in the area, which means sweat evaporates faster. Shaved people end up smelling gross because the sweat just stays on their skin. (Nobody can shower often enough to keep it sweat-free.) You can also get fungal or bacterial infections, some fairly serious, from removing the hair and making the area more moist and less airy. And stubble is really prickly. I'd advise leaving it alone or a very minor trimming.

I think trim is a better term. Shaving causes major problems. First is the insane itching, then there is the ingrown hair that really sucks. I use a beard trimmer to keep it about 1/4" long. Nice and cool, doesn't get all wrapped up in the foreskin. Very comfortable and makes lil willie look a tad longer. :)

Trim yes, shave no.

A bald pubic area is creepy looking. Plus, after a day or two it gets prickly and can hurt your partner during intimacy.

Cutting back the weeds and shaping the area is a good idea though. But completely shaved is gross.

Yes, if you want to...
On the other hand, it might itch a bit as your pubic hair grows back. And, please don't be like my Son and a few of his mates who have showered at my place, and inconsiderately leave your shaved pubes laying around the shower floor. Clean up in more ways than one!
Good Luck!

I wouldn't shave over the kitchen sink, it's not very hygenic. Alhtough the thought of a rogue pubic hair turning up in my mother-in-laws coffee cup does make me chuckle somewhat.

If you mean your genitalia then yes this is not an uncommon practice.

Give it a trim instead of a shave. I've heard ladies say it looks weird when it's totally bald.
