You can try to get rid of them with laser treatments, dermabrasion, and/or topical applications (like cocoa butter), but they're not guaranteed to work (they can aid in fading the stretch marks, but do not cause stretch marks to completely disappear).
Surgery is the best method.

Bio Oil. I had my boy 6 months ago, I used it once a day from the moment I started showing - not a stretch mark in sight! They do say that it helps it fade, but I obviously don't know whether or not that is the case as I don't have any, but try it. Pharmacies sell it.

I am currently 27 weeks pregnant with my 2nd daughter and I do not have any stretch marks. Both times I have used Avent Moisturising light oil, it contains orange and almond oils. You can buy it from boots of Mothercare, its £5.99 which I think is the most expensive stuff compared to others you can buy but well worth it. I use it twice a day everyday.

To prevent stretch marks and scars effectively use cocoa butter or a mixture of olive oil and herbs. You can find more cheap and natural remedies for stretch marks and scars at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/stretchmarks.html
