i cant find a video clip of the big hit that jack tatum put on darryl stingley. does anyone know where i can go or do u hav a link to a website?

I saw the film (1978) when it happened. But for some reason, it seems to have been archived. I saw a series of photos in a magazine about 10 years ago, probably S.I.
It was a brutal hit, but I have certainly seen worse. The fact that it was a pre-season game made it more unforgiving by the public.
When NFL Films put out a video of 'Greatest Hits of All Time", I think they purposefully left it out. You may check their website though. www.nflfilms.com
I met Stingley at an Purdue alumni function several years ago. He said that he has never seen the replay of 'the hit', and never will. He also said he has never held animosity toward Jack Tatum.

Go to yahoo video and type in "Jack Tatum hit on Stingley" and it should show you the hit. If there isn't a video of it try image and there should at least be pictures of it.
