I would like to buy a stick insect, but I havn't a clue where to get one from, the pet shops where I live don't sell reptiles or insects of any sort. Does any one know a place which has stores all over the country which may sell stick insects. If not could I buy one online?
Thanx in advance.

Many pet stores do not carry insects for the fact that they are insects. Although some do carry giant cenapedes. As far as there not being a pet shop around you that carries herps or insects, that is unusual. Have you checked the phone book? Many places that do carry the cenapedes will sometimes special order 'exotic' insects. In your case however, this is not available. I've found a site at http://www.bugsafari.co.uk that sales kits to hatch your stick bug and also take care of them. Good Luck.

Try www.exotic-pets.co.uk on the link below, it'll take you straight to the stick insect page.

Check out the praying mantis as well.

Whereabouts in the North-East are you?

You could try freecycle.org as well, people often give them away for free.
