if no one had guns no one would need guns... if a robber comes into your house the only reason he would attack you is if he was mental or you have provoked him, with a weapon you will make him attack you. Gun isnt protection, its false hope. They shuold be illegal apart from for police officers, and even then alot of trainin should go into having one.

of course we own one now sad to say but in today's world no matter where you live you need protection our kids are grown and when the grand kids come gun is emptied and locked up

Possibly. I never have had one, but if it was necessary to be in a dangerous situation, I might consider it. Everything done legally though, including education about weapon safety and instructions of use.
