I'm particularly interested to know if the bit between the toes is softer and rubs less - with others I tend to get terrible blisters between the toes.

it depends on the person wearing it and if it fits you right. in my experience they are softer on the feet but sturdier. i love them. the fake version called havana is thick and hard and in the long run the soles get thin. havaianas take a while to fade and thin. very comfy.

If you're getting blisters, buy the slippers with the fabric for the part that goes between your toes. Don't get the cheapie rubber ones. Surf brands are good- quiksilver, cobian, rainbow. Reef (brand) is best for me. I know they have those in the mainland. Almost no one here (in Hawaii) wears leather slippers (or sandals??) like Birkenstocks. If you guys do some visit- call them slippers, not flip-flops. Trust me!

They're made of rubber just like the ones from Old Navy. Maybe they're specially designed to be more comfortable. I don't know. I love my Old Navy flip flops, I'm wearing a pair right now.
