Besides difference in power supply (power cord, different voltage), is there any other technical difference between TFT monitors sold in the US and those sold in Europe or Asia?
Could they be sold interchangeably in each geographic location?

Europe is PAL, the US is NTSC.

Yay, stirring up some controversy. that's the hip-hop way. Lol in simple terms kidding. Umm technically conversing, there's a 2-letter difference. yet heavily, think of approximately this. Countries that are not the USA, tend to have much different standards for broadcasting. Whether it be size, proportion, brightness, or energy safe, virtually every country has their own set of television standards. I do not think it would be wise to buy a tv from another country, the power plug alone would be a nightmare.

a big difference is in the current provisions in different partrs of the world. the us standard is 120 volts at 60 hertz (alternating current is in cycles and is referred to as hertz) japan has 120 volts at 50 hertz. if you took a us product to japan and plugged it in to an outlet, it would not work properly and may even be permanently damaged and un-repairable. if you look at products made in japan (tv's steros, etc) they can operate at either power service and are labeled 120 volts 50/60 hertz so they could work here and there. i don't know what they generate in europe, but most of asia operates at 50 hertz.
