I used to like O'Reilly, but after Fox settled the multimillion dollar (and justified!) sexual harassment suit against him, he lost all objectivity and independence and became a total mouthpiece for Murdoch. It must have been the price he paid to keep his job.

He's doing his ranting just for ratings. He's trying to entertain people, instead of inform them.
Really, he's similar to Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert, EXCEPT...
They do it to be funny (hence, they're on Comedy Central.) O'Reilly is the only person on this planet who still takes his show seriously, and believes everything that he says.

I think he's got a lot of valid points and I think that he's on the right track in a lot of instances or else the loony lefties wouldn't be so pissed off at him all the time.

I think it's Hollywood. That there is a culture war is true, but folks like O'riely overstate that fact for ratings, basically. Also to sell books. I live in the most despicably blue state in the union. I don't generally have lefties correcting my speech so in my opinion, if it ain't happening to me in Mass, the the liberal influence in day to day life has got to be overstated.
Furthermore, as far as O'Reily is concerned, I can fight my own battles, thank you kindly, but no thanks, Bill.

I think he knows what to say to get people to listen to him. The only Rush likes more than the sound of his voice, is how getting paid to blabber lines his pockets.
