Why not try Cornwall. It is rather cold this time of year but we have some lovely cottages and holiday homes around. Depending on where you stay you could visit the Eden Project. No matter what kind of thing you want to do you'll be sure to discover lots of places to stay and things to do on thisiscornwall.co.uk and cornwalltoday.co.uk. I live in cornwall and find it a beautiful, relaxing place.

But whatever you chose, I'm sure your partner will love it and love you for it. Good Luck X

I've been to quite a few places in Europe and have to say that Paris and Rome are two of the best from an historical point of view. ie, there's lots to engage her intellect as well as being quite visual.

But based on your question I'd really recommend:

Nice - Quick to get to, on the french riviera, lots of great shopping at reasonable prices! There's also a fantastically romantic restaurant called "Le grand balcon" - classy but not over the top. As well as that you have Matisse museum and Monte Carlo up the road. Not tried Marseilles or Cannes but they could be an option.

My other favourite would be Reims. Take her champagne testing at one or more of the champagne houses there. Its great!

Back to Italy a cool place is Capri but it depends if you can get a direct flight to Naples and then be hassled with the ferry crossing.

Have fun!

Got two ideas for you.

1) Hire a cottage somewhere quiet, make sure that it's warm and well stocked with food and drink, and lavish attention on her for the whole weekend...

2) Try the Maldives - what could be more romantic than staying in a house on the Indian Ocean, waking up together to the sound of the waves lapping on the beach, wearing no more than swim kit all day because its so warm...

There you go, now I'm going to go and find my partner and make some suggestions that he'd better not refuse!

Paris is deffinetly regularly occurring for its romatic ecosystem yet i'd a lot choose a quiet weekend away contained in the rustic someplace. you may want to employ out a cottage for the weeken purely have a browse on the internet :) reliable luck i'm effective she'll get exhilaration from any little holiday to be honest. it is not any longer the vacation spot that counts its the holiday :) and the idea lol :] have relaxing :]

Try the "Sharrow Bay hotel" on Ulswater, lake district. It sits on the edge of the lake with fabulous views of the mountains beyond..It's the hotel where Paul and Heather spent their honeymoon! Fabulous food and spectacular surroundings.

Amsterdam or Bruges. Both fairly 'local'. Great small cities with great restaurants.
