This is a great actor.. First tim i ever heard of him was Red Dawn one of my favorite war movies of all time. Since then it seems like he hardly ever does a major role.
"By Dawn's Early Light" might have been his first Main actor role.
I guess he was in Sin City.
But has he ever done a (that is well known) MAIN actor movie?
wish he was in more action movies.. he's like a Bruce Willis in training (the 80's-90's BW).

If you're a Powers Boothe fan, get the film "Extreme Prejudice" with Boothe and Nick Nolte. You'll love it. Action packed, and good performances by both.
Another Boothe performance you might enjoy is in the film "Southern Comfort". While not quite as good a movie as "Extreme Prejudice", it's worth a watch if you a fan.
Boothe first gained major notice portraying Jim Jones in the tv movie of the Guyana tragedy (1980). Check that out as well.

Powers Boothe was the main character in the movies about the Jones Town tragedy. I think it was called exactly that. It was about Jim Jones and how he got nearly a thousand of his followers to commit suicide in Guyana. It was a good but disturbing movie and Powers did a Phenomenal job in it.

Powers Boothe has always struck as what is known as a "Character Actor", you always see him, but you're not sure who he is, until you actually look him up.
