Playstation 3 (PS3) What do you think?

We are thinking about buying a PS3 for christmas and I'd like to know from people who have already bought one, what do you think? Good value for the money? In your opinion, what is game selection like? Would you buy another system or the PS3 again if you had it to do over?

Well, according to the daily telegraph, a well respected british newspaper, you should only buy the ps3 if you are filthy rich and are prepared to wait for good games to come out. Most people predict tht the wii will be the best, besides, since thanksgiving, there have been sold 1 wii per second. And the ps3 only sold out because so little were made in time for launch. Im not being a fanboy or console bashing, because i loved the ps2 and ps1, but the ps3 seems like it will be sonys demise in the console market.
Personally i would get a wii, however, if you have got enough money for a ps3 then it might be a better option. Each console has its own pros and cons, such as the wiis controlle and the ps3s graphics. If you are looking for fun games like mario and zelda etc., get a wii, if you are more of a hardcore gamer who is interested more in graphics and is ok with waiting for the good games that will come to the ps3, then get one of those.

I have not bought a PS3 but in my opinion, I think you should wait until next year. The games available for the PS3 now is quite limited, plus, some people I know are encountering defects with their PS3s so it may not be a good time to purchase one. Plus, if you get it next year, the price might be much lower than it is now. However, if you're a die hard PS fan, go ahead and get it. I'm just suggesting that it may be better if you just waited for a while.

I don't know anything about how the game actually works; I just wanted to give you a word of advice. If you do find one to actually purchase, since it seems these things are as hard to find to purchase as it would be to find a four leaf clover, try to buy it online. If you don't you are going to have to purchase body armour before going into any store to get it. Man, it was unbelievable how those people acted the day it came out. And I thought it was bad with the cabbage patch kid craze first started. I am not going to say I won't ever, but I can say I have never needed no kind of toy or game system that bad as to have an all out slugfest over it. I was watching the footage on CNN of people pushing, shoving and fighting over it the day it came out. These folks had lost their minds.

I wasn't partial to Resistance 2 or RE5, metallic kit on line comes with MGS4.. RF:G would not look that sturdy, if AC2 is something like the 1st, that is going to suck, the rest will probable be sturdy, I doubt infamous and Prototype would be awe-inspireing, yet they would be exciting nevertheless.. you may have already got LBP.. Heavy Rain may well be a sturdy one to look forward too, additionally team ICO's unannounced interest, pink ineffective Redemption.. Fallout 3, yet you're off to a sturdy initiate. I even have and love Burnout Paradise, GTA IV, The Orange container, and Warhawk

Well, I know it's definitely sold out because my friend lined up 3 days to get it and he did...for $600 and he's gonna sell it on ebay. I think it sells for about $2000-$3000 on ebay...definitely not worth it. There's also the wii which is a new product everyone's gabbing about.

Honestly, i would wait til next year. The selection is very very limited at the moment. It wouldnt be worth the money until next year, and it might even have a price drop.
