There is an Urdu shayari (couplet) which only Indians and Pakistanis will understand:
Saamane Jo Hai Usey Log Bura Kehte Hain,
Jo Dikhaayee Nahee Deta Usko Khudaa Kehte Hain.

It's OK if you don't understand this couplet. You can still answer my question... it's for the entire humanity.
God, whom we have never seen... is praised & prayed by almost all of us but those who are visible to us... our friends, relatives, neighbours, poor people, our own parents & children... sometimes get a very bad treatment. I don't claim that I am clean; even I do it sometimes and then repent. But there is no point crying over spilt milk. Can we do something about this together? As a community?

Please don't treat this question as a points generating machine. Please give a serious thought. It will be helpful for all.

To love God is easy, to appreciate God through all that he has given unto us is the hard part.

God gave us our parents, teachers, pastors, priests, our lovers, siblings and friends. Most if not all of us slap God in the face by showing our abuse to that which he has conferred upon us... its like we give someone a gift from our hearts and the person just sticks it into a dark dank corner.... or even destroys it.. its heart breaking.

I don't think he was saying God didn't exists, I don't think, lol, but humans are weak is the answer to your question, we may not like to admit it but we just are, we get angry, hurt, lost and then lash out and we can also be very stupid, myself included. I think though that they only way we can change the world is by first changing ourselves, instead of going off on someone we take a breath and relax, be honest and say I can't talk right now, I need to go chill somewhere for a moment. When it comes to the big stuff like war and major violence, poverty and the like, it will take a bunch of people working together saying that they won't take it anymore. Change is hard but it can be done, we can have peace but only when people wake up and take responsibility for their part in the mess. I agree the world pretty much sucks right now but at least there are some good people out ther helping the sick and poor across the world, all hope is not lost. ;)

I pray to god for a million different reasons, but mainly for giving me life, giving me health and saving me from many dangers that have faced me, and giving me the heart that learns rather then hates.

No body can teach you, or show you the connection between you and god, it is something you have to open your heart to.

And secondly, god never hurt anyone, I have never seen "God" come down to earth, kill a person, steal from a person or abuse any person. It is people who do this upon each other, and I believe that the weak only say that it is "god's fault" because they can't face the facts that if no one takes a stand, and no one tries to chance his heart and his mind before trying to convert the others into living a peaceful loving life.

Then I tell you this very frankly, NOTHING will ever change in the world!

Take a good look at the world now, what is happening ? Racial wars, hatred, killing, butchering, and why ? Is it because of God? No.

It is because people choice to be ignorant, they choice to be prejudice and they choice to be hateful.

If every person tried to treat his neighbor s he wishes to be treated himself, then the world would be a happier place in no time.

And to me that is the answer to the second part of your question "Can we do something together"

The problem isn't God, is we. Free will. The day that we understand that we most stay together forgetting the differences of language, religions, nationalities, colors, etc, that day God will bless us, because that day we'll be closer to him.

How can you even suggest God doesn't exist?

You can't see the wind, but you can feel it's effects.

pray to GOD if you believe HIM, pray to the monkey if it is your belief or pray to the trees or pray to the animals if you think you are right and correct
