I am a male. When I was a youngster I used to chew my nails down to the meat. That was then. Now I am in my 40's and some people think I am gay because they are so long...lol. I am not gay nor am I insecure to the point that I chew my nails to the meat anymore. Sure I smoke and drink now, but thats all after the fact.

Why in the world would you be noticing such a thing? I have never saw a man look longingly at their fingernails, whether he was a smoker or not.
