I am about to buy a Infiniti G35 coupe 2004 , Is the manual better or is the triptronic automatic better ?

I know "real guys" drive manuals, but i have heard that the triptronics shift so fast that they actually will beat manuals,

Which is faster and better ? Does anyone have good websites that compare and talk about it? any help would be nice

IF YOU WANT PERFORMANCE AND SPEED, ALWAYS GO WITH THE CLOSE-RATION 6-SPEED MANUAL. BUT IF YOU JUST WANT TO DRIVE, THEN GO WITH THE AUTO. DRIVE THE CAR WITH BOTH TRANSMISSIONS AND SEE WHICH ONE YOU LIKE MORE.

I just bought a black G35. I went with the automatic. There is alot of traffic in the area I live otherwise I might have considered the manual. This is the best car I have ever owned. I have previously had an Acura TL, Mercedes SLK, BMW Z4, and a Nissan Maxima. The responsiveness and performance that you get from this car for the price is amazing...I also have the premium and sport package with satellite radio and navigation. I have used the tiptronic and it is a nice option when I am in the mood however I get tired of shifting after a day or so and it is nice to have the automatic. Whatever you decide you will still be getting a great car.......good luck!

I always had own manual cars, but now I have an automatic 2003 G35 coupe. I do miss driving stick but find automatic a blessing in traffic.

I have driven both and I can honestly say that the manual felt alot better. The tip-tronic just isn't the same and I don't put much stock in automatic transmissions. If you are looking for any type of performance, you will likely cook the auto over time. Go with the manual. In the future, you will have different clutches to choose from depending on your driving style.

Dude, get the manual, forget about that triptonics crap, it just makes it harder to fix, if a problem occurs. You get more feel with the manual.
Hey I give you props for getting the G35 sweet car man.

it depends on the country where you are now. we all know that an automatic cars consumes oil, gas very fast. but if you are going to look in convinient side, automatic is better.
