My 3 month old's last feeding is around 8-9 pm, he falls asleep between 9-10 pm and wakes up around 2-3 am to eat, then 5 am, then 7-8 am. Is this considered "sleeping thru the night"? During the day, he eats appx 3 oz every 2-3 hours. Is this ok? I try to get him to eat more hoping it'll stretch his feeding to every 4 hours but he doesn't want it.

Babies should start sleeping through the night from about 6 weeks..
At 3 months, my son was sleeping through from 8pm - 6am and feeding about 5-6 times a day/till bed time on 125ml per feed.. I'm not sure what this is in Oz, sorry..

If they sleep 5 hours straight at this age, it's considered sleeping through the night. This feeding schedule sounds like the one my daughter was on at that age. Don't try to force him to eat, he will eat when he wants it. He will eventually start going longer between feedings and eat more per feed. Once you start him on rice cereal (not until 4 - 6 months) he will be able to sleep longer during the night. At around that age I weaned my daughter off the 2-3 am feed by giving her a bottle of water instead of her formula/breast milk. She eventually didn't wake up for this feeding because she didn't crave the milk anymore.

7-12 hrs of sleep. Depends on the baby and age of baby. I suggest the book "What to Expect the First Yr"

leeping through is from 7pm to 7am without needing any resettling, or feeds.

my baby is 4.5months and has only for the last 2 nights woken up at 6am for his feed, so nearly there

I was told that 5 hours is considered sleeping through. My son sleeps from about midnight to 5 a.m. so he is considered sleeping through.
