looking at the PS3 and the Blu-ray technology of today, the best we can do on flat TV's and High Definition games is over. In the next 2 decades, I would think that virtual reality systems would become mainstream for consumers to buy. Imagine being immersed in a completely 3D holographic computer generated environment. Just like the holodeck in Star Trek. I mean what with all the talk about the Wii, and actually BEING in the game. Your'e not in the game unless your'e actually IN the game. I think thats what Playstation 4 or Nintendo Watchamacallit would probably do- holograms.

Holograms take enormous energy to produce. Have fun paying those bills...
But seriously the next big step will be eyewear not holograms!
Imagine turning your head and your view changes, just like the Wii controller. They already have eyewear for DVD players on planes and such.

Only Sight and Sound, and recently touch (vibrating) are involved in video gaming. Taste and Touch are entirely possible for special games, like a boy and his blob 2012. Imagine refilling you cinnamin cartridge, hehehe.

A.I. needs serious work. Many times when people accuse computers of cheating,,,they actually are. most A.I.'s manipulate game rules to achieve advantages. Especially in Racing or Games like Civilization VI.

The Microphone feature is still in it's raw phase. Someday you will actually be able to yell out the jeopardy answers. Remember the original Nintendo game's anal spelling system!!!

There is 360 degree room for inprovement in video games.

Just wait till they have virtual sex robots,,,seriously...we have all the technology now. Imagine a moving, vibrating, doll, that always screams when you hit the right buttons...

I really should work for Nintendo!

Very difficult. Such technologies are still experimental and apart from this, virtual reality will never be the same as reality!

Notation: imagine spending one whole month playing boxing and then start winning since you get used to the software tricks! Then in reality you find a man double your size and tries to ebat him!!! You'll soon come to understand that in reality...it's much harder!!! LOL
