Republican children are more likely to be raised in situations of privilege and privacy. There is probably not explicit training in entitlement, but the more affluent worlds in which Republicans are raised give those children that entitlement which makes their affluence seem to be part of the natural order. Many overlay this with a religious subplot. In the WASP situation typically Episcopalian or Presbyterian. In the Irish and Italian, the fundamentalist anti-John 23 stuff than came out since the Polish pope, from the former slave states, an essentially punitive world view than claims high piety but in emphasizing guilt and punishment actually functions in an anti-Christ like and often racist manner. Many elite WASPy Republicans do not really believe what they publicly say. They do know lots of facts. In truth, being heads of many agencies, corporations, courts, etc. are involved with maintaining the facts of the status quo on a daily basis. Many Republican children are involved with casual charities and over time come to believe that throwing some scraps to the disadvantaged and poor takes all responsibility for the existence of those conditions off of their very full plates—often having spare sets of china in all of their residences.

I was raised by Republican parents, and I generally vote Republican with occasional Independents and Democrats. However, I do NOT vote Liberal, which seems to me to be what most people claiming to be Democrats actually are. However, I do watch the news and find it to be quite liberal in most cases. I have Conservative views on things: anti-abortion, homosexuality is a sin, we should work for what we have and not expect the government to take care of us, war is not good but sometimes necessary, etc.

Any of my friends, acquaintances, family and coworkers can tell you that I am a VERY trustworthy person. I am not blind to the truth. President Bush has made mistakes over the last (nearly) 6 years. But I still support him as my President. I can't think that Gore or Kerry would have done any better or any worse under the same circumstances.

Please don't generalize. And don't be surprised to get hate-filled answers from others because you have insulted our parents. At least my parents are still married after nearly 50 years.

Some will raise kids that are blind, isolated knobs....but others will raise very intelligent, very grounded offspring.

I think it's a matter of perspective. It all depends on what your view is. If you feel that someone's view is isolated, media fed and blind to the truth, that is your perspective. It might not be based in reality, but it is your perspective. Plus, what you have made is a blanket statement. Blanket statements seldom prove to be true. There will be some truths found in some examples, but to assume that everyone under a certain label is and does the exact same thing is not realistic.

Haw haw. The fact that you have used no facts during your feeble little diatribe makes it even less relevant that it would have been. Good show. You should start an insomnia clinic. You'd have everyone asleep in 4 minutes. **yawn***
See? It's working.

Stop projecting liberals ways on Republicans.

Not all Republicans do that on purpose. It just looks that way because because of the way they seem to vote in lock-step with the hate-full radical Republicans in charge.

There's a difference between forming your OWN opinions and being "untrustworthy and arrogant". I'd say Republicans do a better job of teaching their children how to learn the facts, rather then being simple "Sheeple" who just follow what everybody else is bleating about.

Oh give me a break! No decent parent is going to raise their child that way no matter what side you are on. But a blanket question like that has me wondering how you were raised.

Not all Republicans. Only the rich liberals who pretend to be republicans are untrustworthy and arrogant = Bush Regime = all liberal Jews or rich idiots
