God is the answer to the things that can not be explained. Whether we could feel pain or not, God would be invented (yes, invented) to give reason for that we couldn't explain.

Superb question!!
At first go I thought no..... we only remember or call or pray God when we feel the pain of sorrow or any other unhappiness.
On second thought, I realised that it was not for pain, it was to get rid of the pain which we could not manage our own.
Therefore, we would still need God to maximise our pleasure or joy even though we may not know what the feeling of pain is. Basically if we want something, we would need God since we are not all powerful and our want will make us believe in an all powerful superpower!!

The good old human beings thanked God for everything...the river, the mountains , the rain, the sun. And while thanking, also bore the pain as they considered it as a part of the package.
The modern human does not have time or inclination to thank God for the good things . But jumps to condemn him for the pain and sorrow. it is in human nature to ALWAYS blame something and someone else for all the wrongs they do. Blame the parents , the school, the religion , the country ... .But pain , it is ON them. They have no one else to blame! Our age old God comes in handy.
Even if there is no pain and sorrow we would need him to blame him for some thing or the other.

Why would we need something that doesn't exit anyway. Makes me think that belief in Santa Claus would do me good, since he evoked happy thoughts. Well it might be true that Santa did bring me good thoughts at the time, it didn't mean that he was real.
The need for a belief in god helped our Cave man ancestors explain the unknown. It helped keep the tribes and clans in line with the bribe of heaven and the threat of hell. But modern man thinks more with the cerebral cortex, the rational part of our brains.
Unfortunately obsolete genes do not die overnight, so we'll be seeing a distorted worldview for some time to come.

Um, yes. Pain is just something physical. If we didn't have pain, it's just like some other part of our body isn't working. If we're blind, or deaf, we still need a God. God is God, and our bodies don't last anyway.

I can't imagine what kind of world this would be if pain did not exist, but I think that even without pain we can still die. So an afterlife is necessary, that may or may not include a god, depending on your beliefs.

I really dont think they would. If everything was happy for people all the time- who would prayers pray for? If there was not greif- who would go to the churches? Who would come knocking at your door in the middle of dinner to try to talk you into joining their 'faith' group? All these busy worshipers would be busy at something else- that's for sure. They'd be busy at the beach, busy shopping working exercising ENJOYING themselves. Instead of worried about the next life, and the pain and strife of the world. I hope you find the answers youre looking for! I think its a good question and sort of goes RIGHT to the root of why people lean to religions in the first place with no real proof of higher powers..

There are many persons, without pain. It is a type of disease, to be without senses. They feel miserable.
Congenital insensitivity to pain (or congenital analgia) is a rare condition where a child cannot feel (and has never felt) physical pain.
You may not know, if you are afflicted with any disease, since, pain only cautions you.

Of course they need Him. When you have no pain, you get really bored. There will be something missing in your life, you will feel like there is so much happiness you don't even know what is happiness anymore. Without pain, there won't be any happiness.

R u suggesting that we turn our backs on him now, when we need him the most...heeeelllllooooo!!! ( We've already numbed ourselves into going with the flow of things because we are told, or we turn our heads because it's easier, or we have just given up and stopped believing, caring in our fellowman.....We stopped caring, stopped listening, stopped smiling,.......stopped feeling!!!!) Some of us already don't feel the pain and that's why God needs to stick around awhile.
