Careers? No. That's something we decide for ourselves based on what we like, what interests us. Not our parents. If your parents are that controlling over you then you need new ones. I hate it when I see some kid having his life picked out by his parents only because they think they know him and what he likes. 99% of the time the parents are wrong.
For one time a Beautician doesn't make a lot of money. It depends on your service to your clients and how you perform. You're getting the tips from them, ontop of your salary from your boss (which isn't a lot). Unless you become a well known a reputable stylist then you'll just have a dead end job as a Beautician.
If you're an actress you'll make a lot more, but again it depends on your performance. Plus there's a lot involved in becoming an actress. A Flight Attendant (which is what they prefer to be called) will make more because you're working for a larger company that has a lot of business. So I would say go for that, if it's what YOU are interested in, not what your parents are interested in.
My mother-in-law is a hairdresser, she also owns her own business with her husband. They're not exactly rich, in fact they are a little in debt. Even when I was working at her salon...I got payed $50 a week and I was only a receptionist and the cleaning lady, so keep that in mind. They also didn't get a lot from their tips because they don't have a whole lot of business. There's some days when only 2 or 3 people will come in to get their hair done. And it's not because of the quality, 'cause in my opinion they do a good job. It's because it's not a very promising business. People don't want to spend $100 on their hair once a month when they can do it at home for under $10. People want to save money, and unless you're located in LA or somewhere with a lot of rich people...no one will come in to pay so much for so little of a job they can do themselves. I'd bring that to your parents attention because I know what I'm talking about and I know the business.

Only you know what you enjoy and what you are good at. I don't know how old you are, but if you are 16 or 17, you should have some idea of what you'd like to do for a career. Talk to your guidance counselor and see if you can visit a beautician at his or her shop, a flight attendant at his/her job, and maybe the local theater to speak to an actor or actress. Good luck.

no & never because whatever profession u choose will be with u for the rest of ur life and believe me that it is really tough to live with a profession u don't enjoy.
The answer can only be yes for one situation that is if u have a very adjustable nature and be happy with whatever u do

I thought this was a genetic question at first...lol "carriers"*shaking my head*
You should choose whatever profession where you don't have to write much. Lastly, choose whatever you would be happy doing, not your parents.

Deinitely not. You can take their guidence but you are the person who is going to decide on that. Your view and parents view may differ but you know yourself better than any one. By doing that you are not disrespecting them provided you are mature enough to decide.
